WOW! Thank you, Vancouver! The past few days have been amazing to experience as we officially topped more than $100,000 mark (and still climbing) in just 2.5 days since the launch of this fundraiser for the Greater Vancouver Bank. The amount of media attention we’ve been getting has been absolutely stunning. Thank you to all the media that has given this project the spotlight because, without you and your coverage, we wouldn’t have been able to raise so much in such a short period of time. But, we are far from done and we’re still counting on all of you to keep this momentum going.

During these times, there’s been a real significant spike in demand for help from families that are struggling to put food on the tables. We are crazy proud of all the success we’ve been getting. It really does take a village. Big thanks to the Vancouver Whitecaps FC for spearheading the entire campaign and bringing us onboard (Kindred & Scout, Leah Gregg, Aiken Lao, Ryan Leeson, Hubert Kang, Amy Jones, Mike Southworth).

Get your print today (100% proceeds to directly to the Greater Vancouver Foodbank) and hopefully, we’ll hit another major milestone soon. Purchase yours today: https://www.ittakesavillage.shop/

All will be well despite all the chaos out there.

We hope everyone is staying healthy and positive during these strange COVID times. It’s during these times that we are reminded of all the love we have all around us. Every day we get phone calls, emails, messages and more from family, friends, associates, old co-workers and more. Although we are practicing physical social distancing by working from home, we feel more connected to all our family and friends than ever.

Oddly enough, we are actually more busy than usual and we’re very grateful for this. We are working on a couple of very exciting projects that have been keeping our spirits high and hopeful for a brighter and stronger future for all. We can’t wait to share all the work we’ve been busy chipping away at, but until then, please stay safe at home. All will be well.
Spiritually, we will see you all tonight at 7pm to thank all the modern heroes that are courageously fighting in the front lines to keep us all safe.

How’s everyone doing? Here’s a quick update from us working from home.

We hope everyone is staying healthy, positive and more importantly, staying away from other people by staying home.

As we’ve been working from home, we try to keep our daily routine as normal as possible by keeping our work hours the same and schedule daily status calls with Aiken, our studio manager.

Luckily our lovely clients are still keeping us busy so for the most part, it’s business as usual.

Being stuck inside doesn’t mean we can’t paint murals digitally at home. Here’s a quick mockup of one of our favourite murals we created and was digitally installed in our townhome in the west end.

This illustrated map of Vancouver was a commissioned illustration piece for CMPNY under the creative direction of Chris Zawada, partner and head of creative at Full Punch. Stay home and creative.

Here are a few close-ups of the illustration:

New stickers arrived at the studio yesterday from Club Card.

Me so happy with how this logo illustration turned out for Miso Happy Club founded by our special pal, friend, studio mate, Leah Gregg. It’s been months in the making and I believe this is the 7th version of this logo design before we said ‘Yes! This is it.’ Happy Friday everyone!

It’s been one of the busiest weeks we’ve had and we can’t belive it’s already Friday. Here’s a fun piece I dreamed of doing last night so here’s another ‘productive procrastination‘ piece. I’ve been really enjoying doing these types of hand-drawn lettering exercises. Have a great weekend everyone!
