Earlier this year, I had the incredible opportunity to join the jury for the Communication Arts Illustration Competition. Looking back, it was an absolute honor to help select the winners for what remains one of the most prestigious and respected award shows in our industry.
When I first announced this role, the deadlines—January 9th and the final cutoff on the 23rd—seemed a long way off. Now that the entries are in and the process is complete, I can truly say that the level of talent and creativity I witnessed in this year’s submissions was nothing short of world-class. It is always a humbling experience to see the sheer breadth of visual storytelling being produced by illustrators across the globe.
Thank you to the team at Communication Arts for the invitation, and a huge congratulations to everyone who put their work forward. It was a privilege to see the world through your lenses.
