Year of the Horse launched at full speed out of the gates! π
I feel like Iβm sitting on one of those auspicious clouds I drew for the jersey design, except Iβm on Cloud 9. This opportunity allowed me to represent my Chinese heritage and my hometown team, the Vancouver Whitecaps FC, all in one kit.
Being on the pitch with my family to see the unveiling was a surreal moment. It is a core memory that will stay with us forever. A few major highlights include seeing the entire team wearing my design, seeing our faces on the jumbotron, and hanging out with the legendary Tosaint Ricketts. I even got to meet my hero Thomas MΓΌller and talk him through the design!
Huge congrats to the team for the 3-0 win against my birth hometown, Toronto FC. Sorry Toronto, but the Whitecaps took this one! π
