After our success with adidas Originals x Forces of Nice art show collaboration in Hong Kong this last September, adidas asked if we could do more work for them in Shanghai. We were given the store layout and the winter collection they wanted to feature this season. We came back to them a week later after our briefing with rough sketches for their approval and within 48 hours we were already into full production.
The illustrations took Carson a week of endless nights to complete while Denise took care of all the business meetings in Hong Kong. A few days before the launch, adidas flew Denise and Sophia Tong of OslerZoo Photography (we were honoured to hire them to help us photograph the entire process) to Shanghai from HK to help set up and make sure everything was looking exactly how we envisioned it.
Needless to say, the fine marketing folks at adidas were extremely happy with how it all turned out. Special shout out again to Sophia Tong of OslerZoo Photography for the super awesome photos and making us look good again. The custom adidas art and our Chairman Ting art collection is now open for public viewing at the adidas IFC store in Shanghai China until December 31, 2010. If you’re in the city go check it out.
