I haven’t had a chance to recap everything from the past few months because it’s been non-stop action from start to finish. I’m not even sure where to begin, but let’s just say the summer of 2026 was a wild two-month whirlwind of travel.
We kicked things off in Dallas, Texas, for an epic FIFA project that kept us busy for nearly a month. From there, we spent a few days in one of our absolute favorite cities in the world: New York! It felt amazing to be back in the Big Apple for the first time since 2013.
After a full month in the U.S., we returned home to Vancouver to unpack and repack for a month in Asia. We started with a few days in Kuala Lumpur, followed by Hong Kong, Shenzhen (literally a city from the future!), six days in Seoul (our first time in Korea!), and then back to Hong Kong to finish out the trip. Working alongside the team at Votee.ai to adapt our Billion Buns TV show content into Cantonese and other Asian languages has been a mind-blowing experience. More to come on that!
I’m not ashamed to admit I’m still an active user on Swarm (formerly Foursquare), which made checking in at all these new spots around the globe even more fun. If I had to sum up our journey in one sentence: “It was a hot, sticky, and sweaty adventure!”
Now that we’re back in the Pacific Northwest facing late September’s wet, cold, and gray skies, we’re already dreaming of warmer, brighter days.
Although I brought my Sony ZV-1, I ended up not only taking more photos with my iPhone and Google Pixel, but because of the convenience, I ended up just using photos I took with my phones for this blog. I’m sure I’ll dig up the photos from the Sony’s SD-card in the future but it just takes too much time. We got way too much on the go right now. As always, we’re very grateful for this amazing summer of travel.
