Our rebranding illustration work for Munchkin was among one of the winners.
Proud to have two pieces in the latest Applied Arts Illustration 2020 Annual.
Proud to have our work awarded and recognized 5 years straight by Applied Arts magazine. We hand pick all projects that come through our doors and we invest a portion of our earnings into award shows to not only help support a stronger and more engaged creative community but to also help our clients earn further accolades and exposure with the work we do for them. It’s all part of our hype machine.
We’re thrilled to have two of our projects selected as winners for this year’s Applied Arts Photography and Illustration Awards. Both of these projects we worked on for Munchkin and Six Hundred Four were one of our most favourite projects of last year. Super happy that both of these projects got selected as winners.

Tinkering around with smaller prints resized and cropped to fit a portrait orientation. This Six Hundred Four piece in collaboration with EVO Car Share ‘Pacific North Weave‘ would be cut up in 3 pieces, left, middle and right. Revisiting this piece since I added 3 bonus easter eggs in the piece including a Koi loving Otter.
You can now order your pair (limited to six hundred and four pairs) online or at the store.
A short but fun time-lapse video of the mural we created in collaboration with Six Hundred Four and EVO CarShare. The mural is located at 160 Water St. in Gastown Vancouver. This was a real fun piece to create as no projectors were used due to the weird location being at the entry and exit point of a parkade. Instead, we used a grid system and free handed the entire piece using Molotow markers. The mural took 2-3 days assisted by Aiken Lao and Mo from EVO.
Video was shot, cut and edited by the good folks at EVO Car Share.
Weaving seemingly kinetic acrylic white lines to create this mural of beautiful Vancouver in Gastown called ‘Pacific North Weave’ was loads of fun. The first-ever collaboration with Six Hundred Four + Evo Car Share to celebrate Vancouver’s vibrant culture.
This particular mural was created without using projectors due to the odd location being at the exit point of a parkade. Instead, I opted to use a simpler approach which was to use a simple gridding system to build the general composition. Once the basic structure of the piece was done, I freehanded the entire piece. Big thanks to my assistant Aiken Lao and Mo from EVO!
I’ve created several versions of this piece and the second version is a hand drawn 60” x 40” illustration on a custom wooden canvas that’s hung at the beautiful gallery like a sneaker shop across the street at Six Hundred Four.
The illustration has also taken life as sneakers with four styles to chose from which you can now pre-order.
These shots are actually screen grabs from a video that we’ll be releasing tomorrow shot by the talented cinematographer Trevor Lang from Timelapse Films.
