Unplugged for 5 days for my own mental health. Work has been intense for the past few months, often long days and 7 days a week. I’m grateful for the amount of projects coming in, but it’s been non-stop since summer. With so many high profile projects currently under NDA, it’s been hard to say no.
I needed this. We spent the bulk of our time in Tokyo and a night in Hakone, where we haven’t been back for over 12 years. Every night we’d relax at an onsen, but the best part was in Hakone with our very own private bath in the room.
From nerding out on watches at the AP Tokyo lab to visiting Vacheron Constantin’s “The Quest” exhibit, I got the creative spark I needed. We hit everything from the temples in Asakusa to the shops in Shibuya, all under clear blue skies with a perfect view of Mount Fuji.
Swipe to the last post to see my thought process through my quick sketches. With AI being more prevalent than ever, I think it’s important to share the “how” to show that this was done by a human and not by a prompt.
Currently in Hong Kong for the remainder of 2025 where we’re painting a mural for Votee’s head office in Central. More to come. 🇭🇰
