Spinacles

Medium: Spray paint, street ink, acrylic on birch wood

Dimensions: 28 x 44 inches with floating frame

SOLD: $23,000 CAD

Earlier this month, I had the good fortune to be invited to Hong Kong for the fourth time this year to take part in a meaningful charity gala in support of PathFinders, an organization dedicated to helping vulnerable children and their migrant mothers living in Hong Kong. I was brought in as the featured guest artist to create a bespoke piece that would be auctioned at the event, with one hundred percent of the proceeds directed to the charity.

I am beyond thrilled to share that my piece, Spinacles, achieved the highest bid of the night, selling for 130,000 HKD, which is approximately 23,000 CAD. This marks a significant milestone for me as I take my first major step into the Asian market as a fine artist under my name, Carson Ting.

Artist Statement

Spinacle is a celebration of humanity. It depicts a world of vibrant, joyful forms that can be read as flowers, starfish, or imaginative living shapes. Interpretation is open, but the emotional core is clear. It carries energy, optimism, and life.

The work reflects community. It holds the belief that we grow through connection, support, and care. Each form extends outward while staying grounded, suggesting both individuality and unity. Whether someone sees petals, light, or animated stars, the message remains the same: joy, growth, and human connection.

My hope is that the viewer feels empowered by the idea of community.

Spinacle stands for positivity and the belief that we rise together.
