Off to Dallas, Texas for FIFA with my O1-B Visa.

So much has happened in the last few months; it’s hard to capture all the moments. I usually try my best to document everything so it’s all recorded and properly archived for my future self to look back on and relive.

We fly out to Dallas, Texas, tomorrow morning for a very special project with FIFA. And I don’t say “very special” lightly. This is the first time FIFA has ever done anything like this. Technically speaking, this project has been in the works since 2022 during the World Cup in Qatar, but that’s another story for another day.

I am incredibly proud, grateful, and happy to share that I finally got my U.S. work visa. Officially, I am now a “person with extraordinary abilities,” (My Mom can’t stop talking about this!) having been approved for the O-1B visa! It took three months (even with the expedited service premium I paid), and it’s valid for the next three years. I hope to land many more U.S.-based projects starting now. Big thanks to my studio mate and friend, Hubert Kang for referring me to his U.S. immigration attorney.

I also received my FIFA accreditation, which gives me access to all U.S. stadiums, though I’ll be locked in at the International Broadcast Centre (IBC) for the final 16 games. It is going to be a core-memory experience. While I’m at the IBC cranking out the best work of my career, Denise will be brave enough to enjoy the Texas heat with the kids.

Can’t wait to reveal what I’ll be working on!
