Well, what can we say? 2020 is definitely a year we’ll never forget. With a normal start of the year that quickly turned weird and at times even stranger than fiction.
Early on when the pandemic started to hit Canada in March, we had projects put on hold and even cancel on us, but as with change comes opportunity. Our proudest moment to come out of the year was definitely our collaboration with the Vancouver Whitecaps. We were very eager to flex our creative muscles for the greater good, to help out on a great cause. So when we got the call from the Vancouver Whitecaps we were all in.
Also, a very notable highlight was all the opportunities to collaborate with so many amazing human beings such as the peeps in the collective studio like Hubert Kang, Annie Chen, Aiken Lao and Leah Gregg.
For 5 years straight, I’ve been putting together these short and silly year-end videos to recap all the work we’ve done. Here it is, the mega dumpster fire year, 2020. Hope you dig it. Catch you all in a (hopefully better) year, 2021.

Here’s a short video of Audrey making her art on a typical COVID lockdown day. Decided to film her lost in her own imaginary world on a lazy Saturday afternoon. Shot through Nikkor F1.4 85mm and F1.8 50mm and edited through Adobe Premiere. Music licensed through Artlist.io.
Audrey can easily crank out 50 drawings in one sitting and on average, she can sit and quietly draw for 2 hours solid. We can’t be more proud of her.
When no one is at the studio while saving down 80+ MB Adobe Illustrator files that take over 2 minutes to save on my maxed out 2018 Apple Macbook Pro, I coast around on my skateboard like a genie. And yes, I’m not impressed with the performance of my Macbook Pro.
It’s been a crazy month of heavy production work but excited to see everything coming together for our current art installation project for Kabam Games in Vancouver in collaboration with the folks at Perkins + Will. This project has been in the works since the early days of the Pandemic and I can’t wait until I’m able to share the work we’ve been doing.

⚡PSYCHED⚡ to share our ‘Meet You By The Mural’ BTS video. Watch to the end for a little fun surprise.
Months of work distilled down to 60 seconds to reveal our creative development process for SFU’s latest mural. From the initial ink on paper to digital assembly and finally, the physical installation of this giant mural, measuring 154 feet wide to over 14 feet high. Big ups to Prismtech Graphics Ltd. for the amazing quality print and bang-up installation job despite all the curvatures on the wall.

Happy Friday! Here’s a quick and fun process video of my HOPE mural. The video was deliberately made gritty, dirty and scratchy, kinda like the state we’re in but we remain hopeful. Hope is what we need to keep our vision straight and bright. Have a great long weekend everyone! Music made by the talented Paul Chin from Toronto.
