One of many quick sketches I did for client approval before final art. I didn’t get a lot of time to work on this illustration piece and I didn’t want to over think it as well so I went for a completely visceral approach. I really enjoy the freedom of just creating and drawing out of pure emotion without the premeditated and crafted thoughts I usually go through when working on traditional advertising work. The Okamoto client really trusted and championed this piece and gave me complete creative freedom which is extremely rare in this business.

Custom adidas Originals fixed gear: Thinking before doing.

Some rough sketches of the custom adidas x Chairman Ting fixie prior to building and illustrating. It didn’t come out exactly like how I originally thought of it due to cost. It turns out that the front aerodisc is over $1,000 Cdn. because it’s made out of carbon fibre. Who knew.
