Had a free night to walk explore and walk around Wan Chai district in Hong Kong after a nice meal at Osteria Marzia (thanks for the dinner Pak!) and captured these pics with my Nikon D600 and vintage Nikkor glass (50mm F1.4 non-ai). Without a tripod, I used hand rails and any flat solid surface I could find for these 8-15 sec. long exposures. I swear, I can spend months here just shooting in HK. What a beautiful and vibrant city.

Feeling restless on our last night in Hong Kong before we head back to Vancouver tomorrow I went out to take a few long exposures by the waterfront in SOHO East. Lugging only a gorilla pod and a Nikkor 50mm F1.4 I snapped a few exposures ranging from 5 to 20 second shots and quickly doodled on them on my iPad. What a time to be alive! I’ll also be heading to Toronto the next day for a client meeting on Tuesday. Too many time zones in such a short period of time can’t be good.

Japan never fails to present photo opps for us. Here’s a small sample of shots we took during our week in all three cities. We processed over 200 shots in over 2 days with Adobe Lightroom.

We’re currently in Hong Kong meeting with several agencies until the 27th. Our local number is 5138 6517 if you’d like to connect over coffee or a pint of beer.
